The body was that of a woman of indeterminate age.

Only partially decomposed, it had lain undiscovered in the undergrowth of the Heath for several days.

The pathologist had remarked that, while the removal of the victim’s head, hands, and feet would render identification problematic, DNA taken from the corpse would no doubt prove conclusive once a missing person had been reported. The pathologist’s other observation was that, notwithstanding this being an obvious case of murder, the body showed signs of a sustained attack, post-mortem. It was as though the killer had spent time venting an almost insane rage against the victim …

Three children found murdered on Lyme Regis beach.

Unused to dealing with murder on his peaceful seaside beat, the local Detective Chief Inspector takes the easy option, pointing at the step-father, Eric Goldcrest.

But wealthy Goldcrest, now forced to leave the marital home by his hysterical wife and the constabulary’s suspicions, has gone to ground. The only person he can trust to prove his innocence is unconventional Private Investigator, Tammy Pierre. But as the case gets more complicated, Tammy, uncovering new evidence becomes a target herself.

And the children’s murder is just the start. As killing follows killing, Tammy, still seeking to prove Goldcrest’s innocence, finds herself groping for solutions in a nightmare of senseless slaughter.

The Lyme Regis Murders will keep you riveted to the end.

When the candle burns down the victim dies, watching their life melt away with the wax of the candle.

In her second outing, Private Investigator Tammy Pierre investigates Voodoo killings in a quiet London suburb, after a number of business and professional women are found horribly murdered, all with a black candle burning by their bodies, their names inscribed down the side in wax. The victims are all linked by a common historic association with an orphanage run by nuns on the island of Trinidad.

Half Trinidadian, Tammy flies to the island to discover a catalogue of abuse and killings going back more than twenty years, and a killer who has re-emerged in London. Tammy herself gets trapped, bound, and gagged, watching a black candle with her name burning down.
