I’m still flying high from the reception and reviews we’ve received. First, to the release in January of the completely new book, The Politician’s Wife, which is the third book in the Tammy Pierre series.
It reached #1 in multiple Amazon categories in the UK and the US, and you saw some of the “launch party” celebration pics in my earlier post.
And the reviews have kept coming in on Amazon, from the #Bookstagrammers who hosted the book tour in February, and elsewhere — the most rewarding part of being an author by far.
Then, early this month, I launched — or should I say re-launched — the first book in the series, The Lyme Regis Murders. As explained in my earlier post, I’ve taken back control of my previously published work and begun the process of creating Author’s Editions.
I’m learning a lot more than I used to know about all the work that goes into turning a manuscript into the printed or digital books we hold in our hands or read on a screen. It’s been a journey, but now Book One is available again.
I am so grateful to all the readers of these Tammy stories for the response to this re-release!
On the official launch day, May 2, it reached #1 on the Amazon US site in a Mystery & Detective category and astonishingly #4 on the Amazon UK site in the Black & African American Mystery, Thriller & Suspense category — wedging in ahead of several of the Alex Cross books by James Patterson that dominate this category:

And that brings me to Book Two, The Black Candle Killings. The manuscript and enhancements are in production and we’re targeting a July-August release, though I can’t give you a date just yet. One of the steps will be to pass the Author’s Edition galley by some “beta” or “ARC” readers. If you’d like to receive the advanced copy and provide feedback or a testimonial that can be featured in the book, just let me know via the contact form here and I’ll add you to the list.
Another step, of course, will be to finalize the cover. Again, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Here’s where we are right now:

Does this cover draw you in? Does it work with the rest of the #TammyPierre series? Any suggestions for improvement?
